the ‘six on seven’ guitar
After being frustrated with the tapping sound of the regular guitar (which sounds more like a wimped out harp), I spent weeks thinking about how i could make the tapping sound more like a regular guitar. The solution came with a new guitar design.
I think this ‘Six on Seven’ guitar, is the answer for anybody who is interested in tapping, regardless of level. This guitar has a stereo output, a separate out for each neck. Also, having the necks offset to each other, makes for comfortable playing.
The bottom neck can be played like a regular guitar. The tuning on this instrument is regular guitar tuning. All guitar parts played on ‘Six on Seven’ album, including bass, are played simultaneously on the “six on seven’ guitar. There are no overdubs or any other instruments besides drums and percussion.
